The sessions are attended by an average of 10 players of differing standards, from beginner/improver, to league players, with a mixture of young and old(er). Whether you are a regular player, or totally new to the sport, you will be made welcome.
For those that want to improve their standard, I can provide a certain amount of one-to-one coaching (free of charge) during the session. The hall can accommodate up to 8 tables, although no more than six are generally required.
There is no set format, although generally players rotate amongst each other, practicing their strokes to get more consistency, or just playing games against each other. If however, you wish to come along with a partner/friend and just play together, this can be accommodated.
Should you have any questions, or require further information, please feel free to contact me anytime using the details listed above.......Thank You........Andy.
Private coaching can be provided for a mutually pre-arranged fee, (different venue).
This can be on a one-to-one basis, or for groups, (days/times to suit).
Use the above contact for further details.
Mike has been playing table tennis for less than a year, he started at the U3A (University 3rd age) at Kibworth scout hut.
(U3A is designed for players aged 50 and over)
He started attending the Fullhurst sessions for extra practice as he wanted to improve as he "couldn't compete with the players at the U3A".
A local swim aside, Mike hasn't done any 'regular' exercise since he stopped playing badminton some 15 years ago, (at which he represented the county).
The main reason why he took up the sport was for exercise.
He now plays regularly, also attending the 'drop in session' at Knighton Park T.T.C. on Tuesday afternoons.
The Four video's below, unedited, show Mike having some coaching from myself.
Practicing his Forehand to Forehand / Backhand to Backhand / and then a combination of both strokes.
The final video is the "Smash/Kill" at which further improvement is needed, and expected!! :-)
Considering the short length of time Mike has been playing, he is developing a good stroke technique and is improving all the time,
It is a pleasure for me to help Mike out when I can, and hopefully he will continue playing for many years to come.
